Begin with your Official Transunion credit report for free at:

http://www.annualcreditreport.com or 877-322-8228.

    If you get rejected from your free Transunion, then the Equifax, then the Experian are also acceptable. Do not combine reports or get a credit score.

    A Transunion $10 report is also available at 800-916-8800 or by going directly to:

http://www.transunion.com. 

    There small link at the bottom of the page that just says "single report," then keep finding that link and clicking on it until you have your official report on your screen. Then click the "Printer Friendly" or "PDF" version so you don't miss pages or get extra ones.

    The number next to the word "Balance" or "Recent Balance" is what you really owe. Not everything will be on there, so we might need your monthly car statement, etc.

    After you have that, please get your credit counseling certificate $10 at moneysharp.org or at 800-205-9297. 

    Your recent 2-Years' IRS 1040 and schedules, and Ohio refund amount. Don't worry about W2's or tax-preparer documents. If you do not have them, order a free transcript at 800-908-9946 and Ohio at 888-405-4091.

    Prior 6-months of paycheck stubs and similar (computer print-outs are OK).

    Bills and collection letters not on your credit report. (Please remove duplicates, junk mail, and envelopes), life insurance policies (unless through work), tax ID number, pension/401(k) statements, bank account numbers, prior 36-months of addresses and the dates that you moved in and out.

    When you sign your finished paperwork, I must be paid in full, your first counseling certificate must be current, and you will need at least $150 for the $338 filing fee.  After filing, when you have a case number, you will need the 2nd counseling certificate and $188 for your hearing.
